My fiancé and I got married in Annapolis. I found Bill and his wife Joanne on Wedding Wire about a year and a half ago. They were both very responsive to everything we needed for our ceremony. They did a great job at personalizing our ceremony and really making it our own even without writing our own vows. We attended four meetings with Bill, which were at least a couple of hours long each time so I would make sure you do not plan anything right after. Bill is also very flexible: there were a couple instances where I had to change the date or the time last minute and he was very flexible with allowing us to change out meeting time. I highly recommend Bill to anyone who wants a great officiant and someone who is friendly and also professional! 🙂

 

One year ago today, Rev. William Mies officiated our wedding in St. Michael’s, MD. As we look back on the day and remember the wonderful process of creating our ceremony, we are incredibly grateful to “Bill” for his calm guidance, deep compassion, and unwavering dedication to our vision.

Bill’s passion for weddings and tremendous knowledge of the creative process shows through in his approach to working with couples. He truly took the time to understand our relationship and religious leanings, and guided us toward a ceremony that reflected our love and values.

In the end, our family and friends were present for a genuine, engaging, and beautiful ceremony that wholeheartedly represented who we were as a couple. We are truly grateful and honored to have had Bill as our wedding officiant.

 

Rev. Mies was the most pleasant person to work with in the entire process of planning our wedding!! From the first meeting we had with him, I knew we had found the perfect officiant to marry us. He allows you to create a wedding ceremony that speaks about the couple.

He made my fiancé and me feel very comfortable in every way! I would definitely recommend his services to anyone who is in need of an officiant. His services were very useful in creating our ceremony but also brought us closer together as a couple.

His prices may be a little steep for some, but I promise it is worth it! He and his wife both helped to make our ceremony perfect. All the guests are still talking about it!  Rev. Mies is very personable, professional and just all around very nice and easy to work with. I wish I was planning my wedding again so that I could see him and his wife again!! Very nice people!

We met with three officiants when trying to make the decision, but we knew that Bill was our choice as soon as we left the first meeting. He takes the time to get to know you individually and as a couple, and then works to create a ceremony that reflects this. We loved working with Bill and couldn’t have been happier with the ceremony he helped us to create. It was 100% us, and that is what we wanted. He exceeded our expectations and created a ceremony we will remember forever.

My fiancé and I are so grateful we found Rev Bill a few weeks before our wedding. He spent as much time with us as possible to get to know both of us. We shared stories and ideas. After a couple of meetings, it felt like we’ve known him our entire lives. He is so caring and patient. He was perfect for us. His wife also helped significantly. They made sure our ceremony was personal and meaningful. Together, we all built a great ceremony. We rehearsed it together, as well as during the rehearsal dinner.

I don’t know what we would have done without him. Rev Mies is absolutely amazing!

Mindful Ministries was such a meaningful and memorable experience for my husband and me. We really learned such much about ourselves and each other. I would recommend and urge every engaged couple to use Rev. Mies as he just makes the process of engagement through marriage so special.

Working with Bill and his wife Joanne really made our wedding ceremony ours and we could not be happier about how it turned out! We loved being able to choose every aspect of the ceremony. Working on it helped us grow closer during our engagement which made that time all the more special. We had so many compliments from our guests about how touching, personal and unique the ceremony was.

Bill and his wife Joanne were one of the most fantastic parts of our wedding. My husband Karl and I got married in Harford County and had the most magical time planning the ceremony and it was absolutely perfect and special. We met will Bill and Joanne four times in their home prior to our wedding day. The meetings were longer so plan to meet with them a few hours each time. Bill really spent a lot of time getting to know Karl and me which made our ceremony so personal because we felt like we had a great friend performing it for us! We chose each part of our ceremony and it was perfect for us. He helped us to enjoy the wedding process by becoming more mindful and present through wonderful exercises during our meetings.
