Working Together as a Team
We love working with and supporting couples in designing and facilitating personal and heart-felt weddings and re-commitment celebrations.
Our practice is to meet several times with you, the wedding couple, to prepare for married life and for the wedding ceremony. We use this time to define your values and find ways to express the unique qualities of your relationship and cultures in the ceremony. As wedding celebrants, we provide alternative structures, readings, and rituals from which to choose — or, together, we can create an entirely new structure.
We will meet with you as a couple several times in person and communicate via email to ensure that we develop the best ceremony possible. If time and travel are an issue, we can conduct one or more of our meetings via Skype or Zoom.
Most importantly, the final creation of the ceremony will reflect your unique personalities and will communicate to your guests what you wish wish to say. The structure and content of the ceremony is based on your wishes.
The weddings and re-commitment ceremonies we celebrate range from traditional to more humanistic and secular. Because of our training and ordination, we are quite comfortable working with Christians. However, our ministry is inter-denominational and ecumenical in character.
If requested, we also pay special attention to the wedding location that has been chosen and fashion the words and rituals to reflect the meaning of this venue to you.
1st Introductory Meeting
There is no charge for our first meeting where we:
- Get to know one another
- Discuss your vision for the wedding ceremony
- Describe the way we will work together to construct your unique wedding ceremony
- Review alternative service packages and costs
To better appreciate the value of our working together, we encourage you to consider making an appointment for this initial meeting. After that, you can choose to continue or not.

Officiant Wedding Packages
After our initial meeting, we will schedule up to 3 follow-up meetings to create and practice your wedding ceremony, depending upon the services you select. Our primary goal is for your wedding ceremony to be deeply meaningful for you as a couple and communicate to all present the unique character of your relationship and commitment. Also, if you desire, we will share key principles of mindfulness and mindful communication to help you be more present to each other throughout your wedding day and your marriage.
Officiant packages can be custom-designed where you select the services that best fit your needs and adjust the cost accordingly. To give you an idea of how this works, below we’ve included a description of the components of our full service package. Costs for our services range from $400 – $900. This tuition may be paid in full at the 2nd meeting or 1⁄2 may be paid at the 2nd meeting and the balance at the last meeting prior to the wedding.
We will work closely with you throughout the wedding ceremony development process.
Below are the components provided with our full wedding service package:
- 2 books with examples of ceremony parts (e.g., readings, vows, ring exchange)
- Guidance throughout the process of creating a meaningful ceremony
- 4 meetings (including the Introductory Meeting) to create, refine, and go through the entire ceremony
- E-mail updates of the ceremony script for couple’s review after Meetings #2, #3, and #4
- Rehearse/practice of all ceremony content and actions at Meeting #4
- Facilitating your rehearsal (at the venue or another location)
- Officiating at your ceremony (at the venue)
- All travel expenses are included
